This project presented the challenge of transforming an unremarkable roadway and gravel parking area located between historic downtown building facades and railroad tracks. Working with LRS Architects, DLA designed a streetscape that reflects the vibrant nursery industry of this small city. A thoughtful configuration of parking, street crossings and colorful intersections enhance the pedestrian experience. A lush, bright four season landscape turns downtown into an urban garden space. Art plinths showcase the talent of local sculptors for visitors to the area.
