Envisioned as a campus nestled within the coastal forest, this site combines functional sustainability with the inherent beauty of the region. The primary campus for OCCC, located in Newport, consists of the Main Building and Aquarium Science. Satellite campuses are in Waldport and Lincoln City. The main campus buildings are situated within re-created natural systems that cleanse storm water drainage and blend into the indigenous ecosystem. Settling pools, bio-swales and native plantings integrate seamlessly with the building environment, DLA collaborated with the architects and civil engineers to ensure a fluid transition from building to site.
